ROOKS READY FOR RETURN
ADAM Rooks has today spoken of his excitement at extending his stay at Bradford - having penned a permanent deal with the club taking him into the 2021 season.
The former Hull KR man signed for Bradford in 2019 on loan and made a total of five appearances, scoring once before the season was cut short.
Rooks went over for his first try in the Red, Amber and Black in the Challenge Cup tie against Underbank Rangers back in February and will be looking to add to his Bulls tally in 2021.
The 20-year-old described how the club felt like ‘home’ from week one – and he knew this was where he wanted to ply his trade.
“I said from week one, this is where I want to be and where I want to play my rugby. The boys and the coaches made me feel right at home,” said Rooks, who is sponsored by Jan Dunne.
“I am really pleased to have made my stay permanent, this season got cut short and I wanted a longer season to show what I could do.
“The supporters are top class, even at Dewsbury they still travel in their numbers to support us – the club has some fantastic sponsors as well and my personal sponsor has been amazing throughout a difficult year.
“I think we would have gone for big things this year, but we will put all our eggs in one basket and absolutely go for it next year.
“The signings we’ve made bring that experience and excellence for the younger lads like me to guide us round the park, and that can only be beneficial for us.
“I’ve missed the lads so much, when we got together it was like we hadn’t been away from each other and we can’t wait to start gelling and get back to training”.
