HILL TO RETIRE AT END OF THE SEASON

Chris Hill has announced his decision to retire from Rugby League at the end of the 2025 season – bringing the curtain down on a glittering 21-year career in the sport.

The 37-year-old made his debut for Leigh Centurions (now Leopards) in 2005, making 160 appearances before moving to Warrington Wolves.

Hill made 297 appearances in the Primrose and Blue, winning two Challenge Cups and a League Leaders’ shield during his time at the Wolves.

Spells at Huddersfield Giants and Salford Red Devils followed before joining the Bulls in August this year.

The Wigan-born prop also made 41 appearances for Great Britain and England, featuring in the 2017 Rugby League World Cup final.

Chris Hill, who is sponsored by Michelle Bloodworth & Leo Harry, said:

“After 20 seasons in professional rugby league, I’ve made the decision that 2025 will be my last.

“From starting out at Leigh as a teenager, to representing my country on the world stage, I’ve given everything to this game and it’s given even more back to me.

“I am thankful to every club I have been fortunate enough to represent — Leigh, Warrington, Huddersfield, Salford and Bradford as well as having the privilege of playing for Great Britain and England.

“To my teammates, coaches, fans and staff — thank you. My focus is now on ending my career the best way possible and helping Bradford finish the season on a high.”

On behalf of everyone at Bradford Bulls, we would like to congratulate Chris Hill on an outstanding career so far, with hopefully two more matches left this season.
