Bulls Charge Through the Tigers For Final Flourish

The pressure was high from kick-off, with the Bulls hunting down the ball and forcing an early error. A scrum just 30 metres from the try line gave our young side their first taste of attacking opportunity.

The opening five minutes belonged entirely to the Bulls. In the fourth minute, on the last tackle, smart play from Courtney Marsh saw her kick into the corner, where Vicki Gleadall got herself under the ball and grounded it to secure the first try of the afternoon.

The score remained 4–0 after the conversion attempt was unsuccessful from the touchline.

Castleford responded with a period of pressure, but strong defence on our left-hand side forced another error from the visitors, returning possession to us.

Just before the break, the away side struck back. Una Vakacegu scored Castleford's only try of the game, but with the conversion missed, the teams went into halftime level at 4–4.

Castleford came out strong in the second half, applying early pressure, but resilient defending from the Bulls kept them at bay.

In the 71st minute, we broke the deadlock again. On the last tackle, a well-chased kick was collected by Phoebe Allott, who laid it off to Paigan Taylor. Taylor crossed the line to secure the win. Another missed conversion saw the final score finish 8–4.
