JAMIE READYHOUGH SELECTED AS BATON BEARER

We are proud to announce Jamie Readyhough, a dedicated player in both the Physical and Learning Disability Rugby League teams as well as a coach with the Bradford Bulls Foundation, has been selected as a ‘Baton Bearer’ in the Bradford leg of the national Baton of Hope Tour 2025—the UK’s largest suicide prevention initiative.
Jamie will carry the symbolic baton through part of Bradford’s official route on Tuesday 9th September, representing the club, the Foundation and the wider disability sports community in a show of unity, remembrance, and hope for those impacted by suicide.
The Baton of Hope Tour is a powerful UK-wide campaign aimed at raising awareness around suicide prevention and mental health. Spanning 20 locations from Blackpool to London between 1 September and 10 October 2025, the tour brings together survivors, families, supporters, and advocates to help open up conversations and reduce stigma around mental health and suicide.
Jamie’s involvement reflects the club and Foundation’s ongoing commitment to inclusion, wellbeing, and community resilience. As a longstanding ambassador for the Foundation's disability teams, Jamie continues to inspire teammates and supporters alike with his determination, sportsmanship, and advocacy for mental health awareness.
Members of the public are encouraged to join the Baton of Hope events in Bradford, learn more about local support services, and show solidarity with those affected by suicide and mental health challenges.
