HALIFAX MATCH REPORT

Bradford Bulls made it a third straight league win with a dominant 30-10 victory over Halifax Panthers at Bartercard Odsal last night – sealing the double over Kyle Eastmond’s side.

Brian Noble made one change to the side that beat Widnes last time out, with Michael Lawrence replacing Nathan Mason.

The visitors started the stronger of the two and a Jack Hansen penalty nudged Halifax into an early lead.

Adam Tangata then grounded a grubber from Louis Jouffret to extend the Panthers’ lead to 8. 

The Bulls came back in style with back-to-back tries handing the home side the advantage. 

Eribe Doro crashed over from close range for a try against his former club, before Waqa Blake grounded well after good work collecting a kick from Jayden Okunbor. 

A play-the-ball infringement then gave Hansen the chance to level the scores at the break, he duly obliged. 

A fast start to the second half saw Bradford re-take the lead when a slick attacking move sent Jayden Okunbor over. 

Points were at a premium heading towards the end of the third quarter but Luke Hooley nudged the Bulls further ahead with a penalty goal. 

A key flashpoint came in the form of a second half sin bin for Will Calcott after a high shot on Kieran Gill. 

Bradford immediately took advantage, with Gill pouncing on a Tom Holmes grubber to score. 

Holmes was influential in the games final scoring act too, forcing an error from Graham with a huge tackle and Guy Armitage pounced to score and seal an impressive win.
