BULLS MAKE IT BACK TO BACK WINS

Bradford Bulls made it back-to-back wins with a hard fought 28-16 victory over Widnes Vikings at the DCBL Stadium this afternoon.
Brian Noble was forced into one change from last weekend’s win over Oldham, with Nathan Mason replacing Fenton Rogers.
The game got off to the worst possible start when Dan Murray latched onto an offload from Ben Condon to score.
Bradford weren’t behind for too long however, with Tom Holmes darting through a gap in the Widnes defence to lock things up.
The home side re-took the lead through Condon, who ran a neat line through a hole in the Bulls defence after a crash ball from Will Roberts.
Roberts extended the Vikings’ lead further via a penalty goal before Jayden Okunbor grabbed his first of the afternoon with half-time on the horizon.
The impressive Hooley set up the first score of the second half, as Bradford took the lead for the first time, with Zac Fulton in support to touch down.
The boot of Roberts levelled the scoreboard soon after as the game grew attritional, with both sides enjoying spells in the opposition half to no avail.
But it would be Hooley to break the deadlock, after a sensational ball steal from Waqa Blake got the Bulls within range.
Play looked to have broken down in centre field, but Hooley stepped past Joe Edge and raced clear to score under the posts to take the Bulls’ lead out to six.
Widnes continued to press but Patton’s pass out wide was intercepted by Okunbor, who raced 60 metres to seal the spoils for the Bulls.
