BULLS ANNOUNCE TRAILBLAZING SAFEGUARDING INVESTMENT

Bradford Bulls have announced a pioneering investment in CPOMS (Child Protection Online Management System), the UK’s leading safeguarding and wellbeing software used in 95% of schools and widely adopted across elite football academies.
This marks the first-ever investment of its kind in the sport of rugby league, positioning the Bulls as trailblazers in embedding best-in-class safeguarding practices at all levels of the club—from its Elite Academy to First Team and Staff.
Jill Elam, Bradford Bulls’ Pathways Player Welfare Manager, said:
“Having seen the power of CPOMS to ensure safeguarding and child protection in school over the past decade, I'm excited to be part of shaping this now to support us at Bradford Bulls. I'm excited that this innovative club can see the value in the investment. There's no doubt that the software will enhance safeguarding procedures in the club and ensure our offer to players and families is effective and robust.”
CPOMS allows organisations to securely record and manage concerns related to welfare, behaviour, and mental health - ensuring transparency, continuity, and early intervention where needed. The system, which has revolutionised safeguarding across the education sector, will now be deployed within a rugby league context for the very first time.
"Safeguarding isn't just a box to tick - it's a fundamental part of creating a professional, nurturing, and accountable environment. By adopting CPOMS, we’re putting player and staff welfare front and centre, ensuring any concerns can be logged, tracked, and responded to in real-time. This is more than an investment in software - it’s an investment in people. We hope this sets a new standard for professional rugby and sport more broadly." added Ryan Hunkin, Bradford Bulls’ Head of Youth, who is sponsored by Fleur Hall.
The Bradford Bulls believe this move aligns with a wider cultural shift in sport, placing mental health, wellbeing, and child protection at the heart of organisational responsibility.
