BARROW MATCH REPORT

Bradford Bulls fell to an 18-8 defeat against Barrow Raiders at Bartercard Odsal last night.

Brian Noble made two changes to the side that performed admirably against Salford Red Devils last time out, with Logan Bayliss and Sam Hallas replacing Bayley Liu and Franklin Pele.

The Bulls got off to a relatively strong start and opened the scoring when Waqa Blake chased down a kick that had ricocheted off his legs, grounding superbly before the ball went out of play.

Barrow battled back when a penalty took them within range and an offload caught the home defence off guard and Josh Wood wrestled his way over.

Defences were firmly on top and that was all the scoring action from a tight opening forty.

Bradford re-established their lead early in the second half when a well worked shift play saw the ball find Jayden Okunbor, who stepped inside and proved too powerful for the Barrow defence.

The Raiders refused to go away and a neat grubber inside bounced perfectly into the hands of Ryan Johnston who scored to the side of the posts.

And the final nail in the Bradford’s coffin was supplied by Luke Cresswell, who took advantage of a spilled kick to score.

BRADFORD BULLS: Luke Hooley, Jayden Okunbor, Waqa Blake, Kieran Gill, Guy Armitage, James Meadows, Joe Keyes, Michael Lawrence, Mitch Souter, Logan Bayliss, Zac Fulton, Matty Gee, Sam Hallas. INTERCHANGES: James Donaldson, Jordan Lilley, Ronan Michael, Nathan Mason.

TRIES: Blake, Okunbor
