BULLS BUCK BRONCOS TO OPEN 25 ACCOUNT

Bradford Bulls made a winning start to the 2025 Betfred Championship season with a hard-fought 20-6 win over London Broncos at Bartercard Odsal this afternoon.
Brian Noble made three changes to the side that beat Castleford Tigers in the Betfred Challenge Cup last time out, with Sam Hallas named alongside debutants Emmanuel Waine and Guy Armitage.
Armitage provided an impact just 18 minutes into his debut, leaping to collect a high, hanging kick from James Meadows to dot down for his first Bradford try.
An attritional first-half battle continued despite that score and the Bulls found themselves temporarily down to 12 men with Ebon Scurr sent to the sin bin.
Despite the home side repelling numerous London attacks, the visitors would notch through Jensen Monk and take a slender lead into the break.
Bradford came out all guns blazing and dominated the second half, and quickly restored their advantage via a powerful effort from the impressive Scurr, who was fed by a cut-out pass from Sam Hallas.
Hallas turned scorer from provider next time round, when after four penalties in five minutes on the London line, he wrestled and span past three defenders to touch down.
The Bulls weren’t done there and a neat set play from a scrum sent Jorge Taufua over for a diving effort in the corner.
That was all she wrote in terms of the scoring, as Bradford continued their 100% start to the season.
