BULLS ANNOUNCE O'CARROLL DEPARTURE

The Bradford Bulls announce that Head Coach, Eamon O’Carroll will be leaving the club to accept an opportunity to work at a full-time Super League club.

Bradford Bulls CEO, Jason Hirst said;

“Eamon informed me, this week, that he wanted to accept an opportunity to work at a full-time Super League club.

Whilst somewhat surprised and naturally disappointed at his resignation, I and the club sympathise with, understand and respect his desire to work closer to his family home in the North West, to allow him to spend more quality time with his young family.

On behalf of everyone at the Bradford Bulls, I sincerely thank him for his hard work, conscientiousness and achievements this past year and wish him nothing but the absolute best in his future coaching career.

Our recruitment process to acquire the services of another quality coach is already underway, with the club extremely confident that given our on and off field successes, these last two years, we will have no shortage of quality applicants.

Furthermore, the club remains extremely confident that with the exciting playing squad we are still recruiting for, 2025 will be an even more successful season than the last two.

Further updates will be shared with our supporters as and when appropriate.

Thank you, for your ongoing and appreciated support.”

Jason.

*This announcement has been made within minutes of Eamon informing the Bradford Bulls 1st Team playing squad. The club he is joining will be making their own separate announcement in due course, hence why we have respectfully not named them above.

Eamon O’Carroll said:

“I am grateful for the opportunity Bradford have given me and I have thoroughly enjoyed my time here. I feel between everyone at the club, the board, the volunteers, the players and staff, we have made huge strides forward this year and that is something I will look back on and be proud of.

“From day one I have had more support than most would get and this has allowed me to focus on getting results on the field in what has been a difficult year and without the help of everyone we certainly wouldn’t have finished as we did.

“I think it is a really exciting time for the club and it is ready to take that next step and I hope the supporters and sponsors see that and get on board. I look forward to watching as a fan and seeing the club progress.

“I’d like to thank Brian Noble, Lee Greenwood and all the staff for their support this year, I have really enjoyed working with them and they made me feel welcome from day one. To the players, we built a really good connection and it is over to them now to continue the hard work and make sure the club gets back to where it belongs.

“My working relationship with Jason has been one of the best I have ever had, even through the tough times I have had his support and he has allowed me to do my job to the best of my ability and I know how passionate he is, along with Nigel and the rest of the board, to get this club back into Super League and I have the utmost confidence they will be able to do that.

“I want to thank them for allowing me to be a small part of the club’s history and I wish them nothing but the best for the future.”
