Rugby league fans are in for a special treat as An Evening With… brings together legendary players and commentators for an unforgettable night of stories, insights, and entertainment. The event will be held on Thursday, October 17th, 2024, at the Southbank Stand, Bartercard Odsal Stadium. Doors open at 7:00 PM, and tickets are just £10, including a classic pie and peas supper.

The evening, hosted by Nigel Wood, will kick off with “Prop Idol”, where former rugby league stars – Lee Crooks and Adam Fogerty – will share their experiences and reveal the secrets behind the "dark arts" of the front row. Fans can expect to hear tales of on-field battles, the camaraderie of the game, and what it takes to dominate the scrum.

Following that, the event shifts to “Commentators Curse”, featuring two iconic voices of the sport – Dave Woods and John Helm. With decades of experience in calling some of the greatest moments in rugby league, Woods and Helm will offer a behind-the-scenes look into their broadcasting careers and discuss how they navigate the highs and lows of live commentary.
