FIVE STAR BULLS MAKE IT THREE WINS ON THE SPIN

Bradford Bulls made it a third league win in a row with a 30-12 victory over play-off chasing Sheffield Eagles at Olympic Legacy Park this afternoon.

Some dominant carries early on got Bradford into some strong field position and after some ill discipline, Jordan Lilley kicked the Bulls into an early lead.

Eamon O’Carroll’s side extended their advantage soon after despite losing Eribe Doro to injury, when Sam Hallas crashed over from close range to the side of the posts.

Sheffield enjoyed time in Bradford’s half after Tom Holmes couldn’t take a stray pass from Tyran Ott with the line begging – but a stray pass of their own saw the Bulls go further ahead.

A cut out pass by Aston was picked out of the air by Jayden Okunbor who raced the length of the field to score.

The home side would get on the board before the break, when Alex Foster collected an offload following a crossfield kick from Cory Aston.

That score energised the Eagles but the Bulls held firm and kept their first half lead in tact.

The boot of Lilley nudged Bradford further ahead early on in the second half following ill-discipline from Sheffield.

Both sides traded sin bins in a frantic second forty but the Bulls were the ones to capitalise with Sene-Lefao sent for ten minutes.

Keven Appo went on a rampaging run and got an offload away to Romain Franco to score his third try in just two games.

With ten minutes to go, Matty Marsh collected his own kick ahead to score under the posts to get Sheffield back within 8 points.

But it was the Bulls who had the last laugh, with a quickfire Jorge Taufua double in the left corner sealing a third straight win – and extending our gap to 4th place to 3 points.
