EIGHT-TRY BULLS TAME LIONS

Bradford Bulls made it three wins in a row courtesy of a hard-fought 42-26 victory over Swinton Lions this afternoon.
The Bulls got off to the perfect start when Kieran Gill scored after just two minutes following a lovely move on the left edge.
Swinton hit back with two unanswered scores of their own to lead through Richard Lepori and Jayden Hatton.
The home side had their tails up and were hunting a third try but Bradford’s interchange bench turned the tide.
Ebon Scurr charged onto a crash ball from Lee Gaskell and he couldn’t be stopped, with Lilley converting to kick the Bulls back into the lead.
Soon after, things got even better for the visitors. Billy Jowitt scooted from dummy half and broke a tackle before producing a ridiculous offload for the supporting Keven Appo to score.
And on the hooter, Bradford had their fourth and it came courtesy of the influential Jordan Lilley.
The half-back danced and weaved his way through three would-be tackles to dive over by the posts to establish a 22-8 lead at the break.
The Bulls began the second half in the same vein they ended the first and quickly extended their advantage, with Jayden Myers running a superb line to break through the Swinton defence and touch down.
Bradford’s sixth try came soon after, when a lovely, flowing move at speed through hands on the left saw Gill feed David Foggin-Johnston in the left corner.
Swinton would not roll over however and back-to-back tries on the hour set up a nervy final quarter.
Foggin-Johnston would then get his second when a looping ball from Jordan Lilley gave the winger a walk in.
The Lions responded again with a barge over from dummy half but a somewhat bizarre try from Fenton Rogers added the icing onto the cake.
The forward went on a barnstorming run, three Swinton players peeled off the tackle believing it was complete, but the whistle never went, giving Rogers a stroll in!
