BILLY'S A BULL FOR TWO MORE YEARS

Bradford Bulls are delighted to announce Academy graduate Billy Jowitt has signed a new two-year deal – keeping him at the club until at least the end of 2025!

The 22-year-old came through the ranks and made his first team debut against Sheffield Eagles at the start of the 2021 campaign and has performed impressively in a number of positions over recent years.

Jowitt has made nine appearances in 2023, scoring three tries, featuring most recently in the 32-16 win over London Broncos in June.

Billy is keen to kick on over the next two years – highlighting his desire to repay the club’s faith in him.

“I am delighted to be given another opportunity, I am looking forward to working with Nobby [Brian Noble] and whoever comes in over the next two years,” said Jowitt, who is sponsored by Lloretta-Clare Moorhouse.

“Hopefully I can do the club and the fans proud, there will be new people coming in, and there’s playes already here doing well so I just have to get my head down and do what I need to do to get back in the team.

“It is a big club, with a big history. Nobby has helped me a lot and I have a personal connection with the club so the deal is a no brainer for my really.

“It has been a fresh change with Nobby and Greeny [Lee Greenwood], it has been an intense but good transition period, there have been some good performances we have dropped off a couple of times but a change in the ranks is really coming through.

“The club has given me a lifeline, they stood by me and showed trust and faith and I want to repay it back and hopefully get in the play offs.

“The support means a lot, I appreciate the opportunity I have been given and I just want to pay them back and do myself and the club justice.”

Interim Head Coach Lee Greenwood insists Jowitt has earned his new deal through his performances and has challenged the utility man to nail down a position and a starting spot.

“We like keeping players who have come through the system, the club means a lot to them but on ability and performances he [Billy] has done well when he has played,” said Greenwood, who is sponsored by J & B Coaches.

“He covers certain positions and his challenge now is to nail down a position and a starting spot but he has time to do that.

“We are delighted and as you can see from the recruitment we are doing for the next head coach, we are trying to keep players any coach would want and Billy is one of those.”
