SPENCER SEALS SCHOLARS SECOND HALF COMEBACK

Sam Spencer scored a late winner as Bradford Bulls Scholarship beat Castleford Tigers 22-20 at the Mend-A-Hose Jungle last night.
On the back of an error in the opening set of the game, the Tigers took advantage of the field position and Rhys Firth crashed over in the second minute.
The Young Bulls were not deterred however and quickly set about re-establishing parity, Tyde King burrowing his way under two would-be defenders to score his second try of the season.
Towards the end of the opening quarter, the home side would go back in the lead as an edge overlap saw Connor Dale cross in the corner.
The only other score of the half would also go the way of the Tigers, when a lucky ricochet fell nicely into the hands of Corey Sharpe to touch down.
Martyn Oxbury's Scholars came out firing and soon reduced the arrears when a kick in behind was grounded by Jacob Robinson.
On the hour mark, we had parity once more. Issac Lee superbly claiming a crossfield kick from Isaac Jepson and touching down in the corner.
Castleford would re-take the lead through Connor Dale's second try of the evening with just 12 minutes left.
But back came the Bulls, Freddie Butler's drop off pass saw Sam Spencer run a great line to break through the Tigers defence and dive over underneath the sticks.
