BULLS BATTLE IN FEATHERSTONE DEFEAT

Bradford Bulls produced a battling display but were defeated by Featherstone Rovers 32-18 on Monday evening.

Elliot Hall raced over for the opening try before Bradford were pegged back by a Ben Helliwell double.

After the interval, David Foggin-Johnston took advantage of an error to score in the corner.

Rovers half Ryley Jacks then went over for a double before AJ Wallace went over to reduce arrears. 

Ryley Jacks completed his treble before the final whistle to seal a win for the visitors. 

Bradford boss John Kear made four changes to his side, with Brad England and Sam Walters coming into the squad, after injuries to Chester Butler and Ebon Scurr. 

The perfect start was made, as Dawson-Jones flicked the ball out, which saw Hall barge his way over.

The Bulls battled hard, but Helliwell went over with a double to put Rovers in the lead. 

Walters went close, with Doyle also coming close but Bradford couldn’t find the levelling score. 

After the break, Foggin-Johnston raced over after Kheirallah couldn’t take the high ball to level up the scores. 

Both sides then battled hard to go in front, but it was a double from Jacks which put Rovers in the ascendancy. 

Wallace then touched down with minutes remaining, but Jacks scored yet again to wrap-up a Monday night victory for the table toppers.
