BULLS BATTLE TO BEAT BRONCOS
Bradford Bulls claimed their third straight Betfred Championship victory as they edged London Broncos 8-6, with Matty Dawson-Jones scoring our only try.
The opening score came early on, as the winger barged over from close range.
Two London penalties allowed Dec Patton to slot over another four points before the break, making the difference in scores eight.
After the break, both defences were on top, as London came close, but managed to find their way over through Lewis Bienik.
London came close again through Alex Walker, but it wasn’t enough as Bradford ran out winners.
John Kear was forced to reshuffle his pack after several injuries to key players, with the Head Coach recalling Brad England and AJ Wallace.
The former tested the London defence early on, but after a penalty gave Bradford field position, it was Dawson-Jones who went over.
The winger crashed over through two London defenders, with Patton adding a penalty goal soon after.
Another two points followed from the influential half before the break in a low scoring half.
In the second period, Grant was sin-binned for London, but Bradford couldn’t make the numerical advantage count with multiple sets on the Broncos line.
Bienek then barged his way over for London to bring them back within two points, but it wasn’t to be enough.
A determined Broncos side had numerous attacks on Bradford’s line In the closing stages, but stubborn defence kept them out and secured a huge win in the capital with a depleted squad.
