JASON HIRST JOINS AS ACADEMY & YOUTH DIRECTOR

Bradford Bulls are delighted announce that Jason Hirst is to join the voluntary Advisory Board in the capacity of Academy & Youth Director.

This newly created role is intended to strengthen even further the club’s focus on junior development and the production of local playing talent.

Jason has a lifetime of experience in rugby league, coaching and administration and has been involved in Community Rugby League circles in and around Bradford for 40 years.

Chairman Nigel Wood, welcomed the appointment saying “Everyone at the club was pleased when our licence to run an elite Academy was restored last month.

“However, as we said at the time, we must recognise that we have been given notice about the improvement that we need to make to ensure that our reprieve is permanent.

“The club has asked Jason to review our existing player production activities and to support all colleagues and partners in meeting the challenges which we face together.”

Jason Hirst said “I am delighted to be helping the club that I love, in this way. I passionately believe in the Bulls and I passionately believe in Rugby League being a force for good.

“Bradford youngsters, girls and boys, deserve the chance to represent their local club and I look forward to working collaboratively with everyone and anyone who shares that objective.

“As a lifelong supporter, it feels like the club is at last making some positive progress and I am really pleased to pitch in with the other volunteers with the work.”
