BULLS WOMEN RETURN HOME IN STYLE
BRADFORD Bulls Women returned to Odsal Stadium in style with a 46-6 victory over Wakefield Trinity Ladies last night - with Danielle Bose scoring a quartet of tries!
In atrocious conditions, a lightning start saw Danielle Bose score twice and Stacey Greenwood touch down in the opening quarter.
Bose got her hat-trick towards the interval, with Millie Taylor and Kacy Haley also touching down.
Linda McLean got in on the act after the break, with Bose scoring again for her fourth of the evening.
A try of the season contender from Greenwood extended Bradford's advantage before a late consolation from Liv Whitehead.
Head coach Mark Seal welcomed back a number of players for the Women's homecoming - whilst also handing a debut to Abi Crowther, who joined the club from Huddersfield.
Captain and vice - Grace Ramsden and Greenwood - linked up to send Bose over for the game's opening score at a sodden Odsal Stadium.
Lightning struck twice soon after, as Greenwood sent Bose over with a crash ball for her second in quick succession.
Greenwood turned from provider to scorer next - having been fed a superb pass out of the back of the hand from Ramsden to crash over three Wakefield defenders.
Greenwood's half-back partner Taylor then breached the visiting line, taking two Trinity defenders over with her for her first try of the season.
An incredible first half display got even better too, with some lovely link-up play leading to Bose getting her hat trick.
Greenwood chipped over the top of the Wakefield defence into the arms of Sarah Dunn - who fed her fellow centre on the right edge.
That was not all she wrote for Bradford in that half, with the impressive Haley forcing her way over from acting half.
The second forty was a tighter affair but it didn't stop the home side adding to their first-half exploits.
After a number of close shaves, McLean touched down for her first in Bradford colours having been fed a short ball by Bose.
Despite Bradford being down to 12 women temporarily, they extended their lead as a lovely move through hands put Bose through a gap for her fourth try of the evening.
Seal's side saved their best till last with Greenwood stepping past SIX Wakefield defenders to stretch out and score to take Bradford to 46.
The visitors got a late consolation try which was just reward for their battling efforts, as a right edge play saw Liv Whitehead race clear.
