NOMINATE THE BULLS AS BRADFORD SPORTS AWARDS RETURNS

THE Bradford Sports Awards returns for a fifth year in 2020 and nominations are now open - with 19 award categories celebrating another successful year for sport in the district.

The awards celebrate the achievements and efforts of players, coaches, administrators and volunteers from across all levels of sport throughout the area in 2019 and the event will once again be held at the Utilita Energy Stadium, Valley Parade and will take place on Thursday 12th March 2020. 

2019 saw John Kear's Bradford Bulls return to the Betfred Championship - his side missing out on a play-off spot by just one point following an impressive year.

Stunning cup triumphs over Featherstone Rovers and not to forget - THAT 24-22 win over arch-rivals Leeds Rhinos helped make it a year to remember for the Bradford faithful, a sporting highlight for many. 

Chairman of Active Bradford Wayne Jacobs said: “The Bradford Sports Awards celebrates the achievements and efforts of all ages and mixed abilities in the district right from volunteers, active workplaces, active schools, communities, amateur sporting clubs to the professional.

“The awards are a big celebration about everything that’s good about sport and physical activity in our district.”

The Award Categories for the 2020 Bradford Sports Awards

Health – Active Lifestyle, Active Workplace, Volunteer

Sports – Young and Senior Sportspeople and clubs, Coach, Volunteer, Sporting Highlight, Special Recognition

Community – Active Lifestyle, Volunteer, Special Recognition

Education – Active School, Active Workplace, Teacher, Student Club/Team, Young Sportspeople, Young Club/Team.
